Negotiations have started between #mufc and Real Madrid for Raphaël Varane. The two clubs have been exchanging for several hours. United have asked for Madrid's expectations. The coming week will be decisive #mulive [@mohamedbouhafsi]— utdreport (@utdreport) July 25, 2021
The deal has even been given “Here we go” status by Fabrizio Romano.
Raphaël Varane to Manchester United, here we go! #MUFC— Fabrizio Romano (@FabrizioRomano) July 26, 2021
Agreement almost done between Man Utd and Real Madrid, just final details to be completed and then paperworks time. It’s a “matter of hours or days”. Here-we-go.
Varane has a total agreement on personal terms too.
United launched their first bid of around €45m a few days ago which was ultimately rejected by Los Blancos as they value Varane at a high of €60m.
Talks are set to continue between the two clubs but Raphael Varane would have preferred to have his future resolved before the end of his holiday. Now everything remains on United’s part on how much time will they take to improve their offer and will that offer be satisfactory for Real Madrid.
It has been speculated that the Red Devils will be ready to match Real Madrid’s demands with an improved offer this week which Real Madrid ‘couldn’t refuse’, and Varane is expected to be announced at the end of the week. If reports are correct, by mid-week we can have a clear picture about resolution of the matter.
