Paul Pogba’s contract situation remains ongoing, with Manchester United willing to extend him and give a significant raise. The player and his agent however have not committed to a new deal, and it’s unlikely a new contract will be signed anytime soon. This hasn’t slowed down the rumors circulating about potential moves to PSG and Real Madrid.
Rumors emerged from Spain that Pogba is looking to run down his contract with the club and join Real Madrid on a free transfer at the end of his current contract, according to a report from Diario AS.
Pogba’s name has been circling around Valdebebas (Real Madrid City) for a couple of years now as former Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane wanted the Frenchman to be a part of Los Blancos for a long time, but the talks were blocked every time either because of injury or because of the decisions of Florentino Perez.
However, United are trying their best to make sure to tie the French International with a long term contract which will include several bonuses and with an increased salary. Ole wants Pogba to sign a new four year contract and giving him a significant raise of £290000/week salary.

United’s side is optimistic that Pogba will sign a new contract because they are certain that the Frenchman is sure of the club going in the right direction. He has a good relationship with Solskjaer, and is reportedly impressed with the progress made in the team building process.
Pogba showed his desire to continue at the club last season but United recently have accelerated their efforts of securing a new contract with him pretty much due to the fact that he has come under Real Madrid’s radar.

But if United dosen’t come to terms with Pogba then they can lose the star midfielder for free next season. He has only one year left on his contract which means he can approached by any club in January who can sign him on a pre-contract-agreement.
The French midfielder have started the season impressively getting a hattrick of assists in United’s season opener against rival Leeds.
His performances in the EURO 2020 is also making clubs around Europe come like sharks at him. PSG was willing to secure him this summer but with the arrival of Messi, it’s quite impossible for them to land any other player at Paris. So it looks like the only shark on the horizon is Real Madrid and we will see the developments in the next few days.
