West Ham United midfielder Declan Rice is unlikely to leave the club this summer due to his £100m. According to reports, both Manchester United and Chelsea were interested in acquiring the defensive midfielder, but good performances for West Ham and England at this summer’s UEFA Euros and the remaining years on his contract have allowed West Ham to hold strong on their high asking price.
West Ham’s £100m valuation of Declan Rice has so far put off #mufc and Chelsea from making an official bid this summer, and the two clubs are well aware that price will have to drop in 12 months when Rice has two years left on his contract #mulive [@Matt_Law_DT]

There were rumors that Jesse Lingard could be going the other way as part of a deal to bring in Rice, but it now seems any Lingard to West Ham deal would be separate from this one.
Declan Rice has started to raise his profile since turning on in the 2019/20 season, and featured heavily for England in their run to the Final of UEFA Euro 2020. He formed a daunting defensive midfield duo with Kalvin Phillips for the Three Lions, further cementing his reputation in that role.
Whether Manchester United will keep up their interest in Rice beyond this season remains to be seen. The club are actively examining midfield options, with moves for Eduardo Camavinga and Ruben Neves among a few others reportedly being considered. Rice checks a lot of boxes for United however, and if they can’t solve their problem in that position this summer they will almost certainly continue to keep tabs going forward.
