Manchester United forward Edinson Cavani is set to miss his second straight match for the Red Devils after picking up a knock in a behind-closed-doors friendly over the international break. Cavani missed action with Uruguay due to requests by the Premier League for players to avoid “red-list” countries over the break, but efforts to stay fresh with the rest of the squad proved detrimental.
Solskjær: "Edi [Cavani] is hopefully back with us soon, he had a slight strain during the international break in a behind-closed-doors game. He's working hard to come back." #mulive

Cavani was absent from the United squad for the 4-1 win over Newcastle United on Saturday, and has been left out of the squad traveling to Bern, Switzerland for the opening match of the 2021/22 UEFA Champions League campaign.
The news comes a bit under the radar given how much attention has been focused on Cristiano Ronaldo since his return to Old Trafford, but could be a bit worrying if he doesn’t make a return to action soon. Fortunately, striker is a position that United now have quite a bit of strength at.
