Lingard who last season was on loan at West Ham came off the bench to score the game-winner late into injury time. Cristiano Ronaldo kicked off United scoring in the first half.
West Ham had the chance to equalize in stoppage time, but David De Gea saved Mark Noble’s penalty to rescue the win for United.
