Here are the player ratings from Manchester United’s 3-0 win over Nottingham Forest:

David de Gea - 7

Steady performance from the Spaniard. Did well when occassanially called upon.

Tyrell Malacia - 7

Started the match well with an effort on goal. Never really looked troubled at the back.

Raphael Varane - 8

Put in another solid defensive display after an excellent World Cup campaign.

Luke Shaw - 8

Looks like Erik ten Hag has a back-up solution in the left-footed centre-back department. Looked at home in the role.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka - 7

The performance probably won’t force him into Ten Hag’s plans, but he’s shown some of his qualities this week.

Casemiro - 9

Has completely changed this team.

Christian Eriksen - 8

Controlled things and is regularly contributing to goals now.

Bruno Fernandes - 8

Marcus Rashford - 9

A different player with Martial alongside him. Had an excellent first-half.

Anthony Martial - 7

Got some luck on the goal. Has done well all season when available.

Antony - 4

Just didn’t look sharp today, but it didn’t matter much in the end.

Substitutes

Donny van de Beek - 6

Showed glimpses of his best attributes, but that’s not going to be enough.

Alejandro Garnacho - 6

Always excites.

Fred - 7

Great goal. Will help his confidence.

Harry Maguire and Anthony Elanga - NA

Manager

Erik ten Hag - 8

He’ll be pleased with the performance and clean sheet. The club looks a lot more settled now. The board needs to help him in January.
