Manchester United will be bidding to make it five consecutive Premier League wins on the spin on Saturday evening, as we take on Newcastle United at St. James’ Park.

Erik ten Hag’s side drew 3-3 with Galatasaray in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday, with Alejandro Garnacho, Bruno Fernandes and Scott McTominay all finding the net in Istanbul.

The Reds have also already lost to the Magpies this season in the Carabao Cup at Old Trafford, so there is extra incentive to put things right, on what is likely to be a fiery atmosphere in the north-east.

United will be boosted by the return of Marcus Rashford on Tyneside this weekend, following the completion of his European suspension in midweek.

Fellow forward Rasmus Hojlund returned to the fold against Galatasaray and will be hoping to help the Reds pick up three more vital points on the road this weekend.

Casemiro and Lisandro Martinez are definitely out, while Christian Eriksen remains sidelined too.

Jonny Evans and Mason Mount missed out on our trip to Turkey. Amad and Tyrell Malacia have still not featured so far this season.

The Magpies knocked United out of the Carabao Cup on 1 November, with Miguel Almiron, Lewis Hall and Joe Willock all netting in their 3-0 win in M16.

Newcastle are currently seventh in the table, after 13 games played, and have lost just once on home soil in the Premier League so far in 2023/24.

Despite currently being hampered by injuries, Howe’s men have a knack for grinding out results and are seeking a sixth successive home league win.

The Toon are also still involved in the Champions League, after drawing 1-1 with French champions PSG on Tuesday evening, with their fate still be decided heading into matchday six of the competition.
