Daley Blind and Matteo Darmian are set to leave Manchester United in the summer, according to a couple of reports published online on Tuesday. Both The Times and ESPNFC published the story, claiming that the two defenders are bound for Italy’s Serie A.
Blind, who is apparently still alive, has made only three Premier League starts this season, and looks certain to be shipped. He reportedly had his United contract extended earlier this year, though that seems to have served the sole purpose of bumping up his transfer fee with Roma and Inter Milan circling.
Matteo Darmian, meanwhile, looks set to join Juventus, with both The Times and ESPNFC claiming initial contact has been made over the sale of the 28-year-old. Like Blind, he’s been handed only three league starts this season, and his departure has grown increasingly inevitable. Both players have been more than serviceable utility men over the last few seasons, but they’re not likely to be missed.
