Sky Sports News have reported that Cesc Fabregas would be happy to move to Manchester United were Barcelona to accept an offer for him.
The Catalan outfit may still be reluctant to sell, but with the club reportedly pursuing deals that would cost an extortionate amount of money, could be tempted to sell Fabregas. The money from the transfer could then be used to fuel a pursuit for the likes of Thiago Silva.
Sky Sports News' Kaveh Solekhol stated that while other clubs were interested, Fabregas was "specifically" happy to move to United should a deal be agreed with Barcelona. Handily, this ties in with other information doing the rounds, that United have long been in contact with the player.
An improved bid for £35m could be too much for Barcelona to reject, and if it proves the case, United will be overwhelming favourites to sign him. Yet as plenty of recent transfers show, we shouldn't write off other clubs, even if the biggest hurdle by far at the moment is Barca's reluctance to sell.
