It seems increasingly likely that Nani will be heading out of Old Trafford this summer, with the Manchester United winger reportedly wanted by both Tottenham and Roma.
Roma's interest has been reported in the Italian press up until now, but Corriere dello Sport now state that Tottenham will try to hijack the move. How well-informed they are is debatable - they're a fairly reliable source usually, and certainly when it comes to AS Roma, but that may not directly translate to knowing the goings-on at Spurs.
In any case, it's likely that there would always be a few clubs interested in Nani's services. The club have already had one bid earlier in the window, from Galatasaray. That was turned down, with the Turkish club stating they would not be increasing their offer.
While I think it's fair to say that Nani has had plenty of chances at Old Trafford and not taken them - he's gone on streaks of excellent form, but been unable to keep it up and really nail down his place - we are fairly light on the wings, even with the introduction of Wilfried Zaha. Antonio Valencia could easily rediscover his form, but we certainly can't rely on it. It'll be interesting to see if this has any bearing on other moves we'll make, because apart from unlikely huge moves for Gareth Bale and Cristiano Ronaldo, United haven't been linked to any wingers in this window so far.
