There are some transfer rumours that live forever. Wesley Sneijder will still be moving to Manchester United long after Sneijder is dead and the northwest of England has been reclaimed by the rising, angry ocean.
And then there are those that are born and die in the space of a single afternoon, flitting like a mayfly across the consciousness. One such emeged today, as the delicious prospect of Anderson joining Burnley briefly threatened to rival the Falcao deal for 'most exciting news of the day'.
But it was not to be.
Incredulity at Burnley with the suggestion that they are signing Anderson. Not on their radar.

We don't think that's an actual radar. If an actual radar doesn't show Anderson, then it's not working properly.
