You thought the transfer window was done? Think again, you fools. Some things can never be killed. And although it's Tuesday morning, nearly twelve full hours after the window came down, things are still happening. Tom Cleverley to Aston Villa things, to be precise.
Cleverley maybe going to Villa after all. Villa came back VERY late when Everton collapsed. Season loan if Premier League accept paperwork— James Pearce (@Pearcesport) September 2, 2014
Cleverley was still at Carrington at 2am trying to get the deal across line. Timings very tight though. Ball now in Premier League court— James Pearce (@Pearcesport) September 2, 2014
If true, encouraging signs. The collapse of both prospective moves for Cleverley left some, tBB among them, questioning whether he'd decided to take the disappointing route of sitting on the bench and running down his contract. Let's hope that this goes through for everybody's sake, including his. Even if it does make a bit of a mockery of that whole "deadline" notion.
