There is no way of saying nothing in football, and that goes double for the transfer window. So Mats Hummels, who has once again said nothing about his future, has in doing so said plenty about his future. At least, that's how the English press are treating a recent interview with Bild, in which a question about him leaving at the end of the season was left unanswered, at some length:
Are you looking for a headline? No, I will keep it the way I've been doing it for seven years. I'll let everything come to me and just look forward only to the start against Leverkusen and the second half of the season. I'm really completely relaxed. I really only think about what I contribute on the pitch and in the dressing room, that we get better and move as quickly as possible from the bottom of the table.
Or, tl;dr, "HUMMELS REFUSES TO RULE OUT UNITED MOVE". He also refused to rule out a shock move to competitive falconry, the Portmeirion Tourist Board or Thunderbird 5, but for some reason nobody cares about that.
