Another youngster is leaving Old Trafford. Versatile wide player Jesse Lingard is heading to Derby on loan for the rest of the season. However, this isn't the end of his United career; reports from Sky suggest that he's also signed a new three-and-a-half year deal at Old Trafford.

Lingard began the season in the first-team squad but suffered a serious injury in the first game of the Premier League season. Since then he's been recuperating and had been due to start for the U21 side tonight against Fulham. However, he was withdrawn from the squad at the last minute, presumably in order to facilitate this move. He'll join former Manchester United assistant manage Steve McClaren in the Championship.

As things stand, he leaves United having made just the one appearance for the first, team, a 2-1 loss against Swansea. Still, even if he doesn't make it on his return, he'll always have a place in the hearts of trivia collectors as one of the players who started Louis van Gaal's first game in charge. And that's the real quiz.
