United linked with England U21 star — reports

Saido Berahino is the latest name linked with a move to Old Trafford.

What do you get if you add two to two? Sometimes you get four. Sometimes you get five. Sometimes, excitingly, you don't know if you've got four or five until events unfold themselves. With this in mind, the Mail reckon that United might be looking at West Bromwich Albion's Saido Berahino.

Consider their working:

Two: Manchester United need at least one striker, given Robin van Persie is getting old and Radamel Falcao has got old, and Berahino is young, quick, good — he's scored 18 goals this season, some of which have been thoroughly decent indeed — and available at the end of the season after managing to annoy the hierarchy at West Brom.

Two: Berahino was at the FA Cup game last night, with his agent, watching United toil and tumble against Arsenal.

Four: "Is Saido Berahino the latest star on Manchester United's summer shopping list?"

See? Maths is easy, folks.

While we have our doubts about this story, and while Berahino probably isn't quite the big name that some United fans might be hoping for, this particular aspect of tBB quite likes him. He can obviously play a bit, he's ambitious, and he's managed to keep scoring and performing despite effectively being at loggerheads with his club. Which suggests a certain ability to maintain focus, something of which not every United player could be fairly accused.
