According to a report on the website of Portuguese website A Bola, Manchester United's loanee winger Nani is set to return to Old Trafford at the end of the season, with Sporting Lisbon unable to keep him on. Even if they were to negotiate a lower transfer deal with the Reds, the report states that Nani's wage demands would remain too high (they're reportedly in the region of €5 million per season). As a result, Marco Silva's side are looking to bring in other wingers.
Nani has, by all accounts, been in some pretty good form for Sporting this season, and his return to Old Trafford may well be no bad thing. He's now 28 years old, though that's young enough for at least a season or two of peak performances. He offers a directness that United have been badly lacking on the right at times this season, and would fit in very well on the right of Louis van Gaal's 4-3-3.
