News of the 24-year-old German international's transfer has been plastered all across Sky Sports News, who aren't known for going big without some real evidence to back it up:

Gündoğan is a player who has been linked with a move to an elite club for a while, though a back injury that kept him on the sidelines for a long time last year saw those rumours disappear. Nevertheless, 19 appearances in the Bundesliga this season seem to have been enough to persuade Louis van Gaal of his potential, and he should make a tremendous edition to the centre of United's midfield.
