Well, it's moving along, this one. First the French FA basically confirmed things, and now the English press reckon that a fee's been agreed. Here's a man from the Times to tell you more:

What to make of that "LVG scouting him for a year" claim? True? Or perhaps a little bit of spin from Old Trafford to counter suggestions (accusations, shrieks) that this is a panic buy? It's definitely a panic fee, no question about that. But might be this a mere overpayment for somebody who is, nevertheless, part of the plan?
No, probably not.
